Product description and composition

Amalgam is a high strength dental amalgam restorative material in type of predosed capsules with four specifications 200mg, 400mg, 600mg, 800mg. The alloy in fine particles is composed mainly of silver, tin and copper, which when mixed with mercury produces a dental amalgam. The alloy is in capsule with portions of alloy and mercury predosed which include 43％Ag,32％Sn,25％Cu (mass fraction) and mass fraction of alloy powder and mercury as 1:1~1:1.1. It can be amalgamated by using amalgamators with certain time and frequency.

Intended use

It is intended use for filling the decayed tooth.

Product performance

This product is a predosed capsule with amalgam alloy and mercury which met requirement of ISO 24234:2003. The overall length of activated capsule is (31±1)mm, maximum external diameter is (12.5±0.5)mm. The loss in mass for capsule during amalgamation will not exceed 0.5mg. The mass of retained material found within the capsule after amalgamation will not exceed 1% of the mass of alloy and mercury. When using amalgamator to amalgamate the capsule with its vibration frequency 4300-4400 rpm and time 15s~20s, it has following physical performance as following:

≤2% -0.10%～＋0.20% ≥80MPa ≥300MPa

Patient who are allergic with amalgam alloy or mercury are forbidden to use

Operation instruction

Ø choose appropriated specification of predosed capsule as needed

Ø Press the top of capsule to mix amalgam alloy with mercury thoroughly, then fix the capsule into amalgamator
